Accounting Students’ Association

About Us

The Accounting Students’ Association (ASA) was founded in 2001 and is a leading society at the University of Melbourne run by students for the benefit of all stakeholders; our members, sponsors, the university and the wider community.

Our mission and purpose is to provide our members with the best possible opportunities by aligning ourselves with professional service firms, accreditation bodies and companies, and by creating events that enable students to build professional skills and kickstart their careers.

Exposure to the Industry

As an ASA member, you will learn about the different career opportunities available in business-related fields through access to our networking functions where you have the opportunity to interact with potential employers.

Range of Events

To ensure that students are prepared for their career, it is important to provide a broad range of opportunities to target student development from multiple perspectives. Our events range from corporate to social events well as professional development workshops.

Job Ready Skills

ASA will help you prepare you for life after university. Some of these skills include writing professional, persuasive resumes and cover letters, as well as performing well in competency-based interviews and group assessment centres.
